A session note is a simple way to track where you are on the site and what you want to check. Start each entry with the page name, the route and one clear question. This keeps the record narrow enough to scan later without turning it into a long account of every page visited.

Use neutral wording. Write down what you are checking rather than adding an assumption. For example, a note might say that you opened the demo page to understand its place in the existing navigation. If another question comes up, place it in a separate entry instead of combining unrelated points.

A practical note structure

A consistent structure makes separate entries easier to compare. The following fields are enough for a short working record:

• Page: Write the visible page name.
• Route: Record the route exactly as it appears.
• Question: State the single point being checked.
• Observation: Add a brief, neutral description of what you saw.
• Next page: Name the existing page you plan to visit next.

Keep observations separate from questions. If a point remains unclear, mark it as an open question rather than filling the gap. This makes it easier to return to the right page and continue the check without relying on memory.

Move through related pages carefully

Choose the next page according to the question in the note. The demo page can be logged as its own stop, while the round history and disconnection page can be kept as a separate entry. Recording them separately prevents page names, routes and questions from becoming mixed together.

When returning to an earlier entry, add a short follow-up beneath it. Keep the original wording intact so the order of the check remains clear. A compact record is usually easier to use than a running paragraph because each item has a defined purpose.

Finish with a quick consistency check

Before closing the note, confirm that the page name and route match, the question is specific and the observation does not go beyond what was checked. Remove repeated wording and split any entry that covers more than one page.

The completed note should show where you went, what you checked and where you intend to continue. It does not need extra commentary. A brief entry with clear labels provides a straightforward trail through the existing site.
